Announcing a Vancouver Chapter of Fierce Vulnerability Network
What would direct actions be like if we structure them as ceremony? What would be different if their goals were healing and collective liberation? How do we build movements where all people never question their belonging? How do we offer respite from our culture of domination and the “us vs them” binary? What happens when we lead with vulnerability and care in the face of crisis and division?
Necessary Trouble Collective is launching a Vancouver chapter of the Fierce Vulnerability Network (FVN). Our desire comes from working with activists in Vancouver-based movement spaces and witnessing the need and longing for healing, belonging and liberation. See below for links to register for our information zoom calls.
A 6 week offering led by Leonie Smith for Black, Indigenous, People of Colour who are looking for a learning and exploring environment that is liberation focused and built around their needs.

Movements of Belonging

Ongoing
NTC brought together a group of 15 movement leaders from the Greater Vancouver region in January 2025 to build community and improve the resilience of local organisations.
Research into the event’s impact is ongoing, and new cohorts may be formed in the future.

We attend to impact and harm by supporting the learning of skills, practices and systems that subvert structures and habits of dominance, right/wrong thinking, shaming and blaming, and reward and punishment.
We offer training, coaching and group facilitation that allow individuals and organizations to attend to impact and harm as it arises, building trust and connection. When there is a foundation of trust and connection, challenges and conflicts become sources of inspiration, creativity, learning and growth.
