As we learn and grow in our capacity to understand the intersectionality between colonialism, racism, capitalism and climate change, we seek to make our communities more inclusive and accountable. When someone’s behaviour does not uphold these values, we often react in ways that are intended to shame or punish. In this session, we will learn how to disrupt our impulse to shame and blame and shift from strategies that punish to strategies that invite accountability.
